In addition to providing valuation services to mortgage lenders, Mark Farmer Chartered Surveyor is able to offer survey and valuation advice to the individual home buyer. We are also able to value residential property for mortgage, probate, tax or matrimonial purposes and may be able to advise with other survey requirements.

The bulk of the work of Mark Farmer Chartered Surveyor involves undertaking Homebuyer or Building Surveys for individuals seeking assurance or advice about their proposed property purchase.

   

The Homebuyers Survey is usually recommended for properties of conventional type and construction and in apparently reasonable condition. We often carry out Homebuyers Surveys on older properties (at our own discretion) assuming they meet these basic criteria. This survey would also usually be recommended for any house or flat.

The Building Survey is usually recommended for “period” properties (especially if of larger size), those of unusual construction or those known to be in need of substantial repair and improvement.

We pride ourselves on preparing every report individually. Although we obviously have “pet phrases”, our reports do not consist of a series of standard paragraphs.
